The Dalian Atkinson Legacy Fund, established by his family, is dedicated to celebrating Dalian’s lifelong passion for sports and its positive impact on our community. The aim of the fund is to inspire young people to actively participate in sports, fostering their growth and well-being.

We envision a future where all young people, from ages 5 to 25, across Telford and Wrekin, and surrounding areas, have equal access to participate in football and a range of sports.
We believe that football can empower them to navigate life’s challenges and become thriving members of our community.
The Dalian Atkinson Legacy Fund has the potential to create real change for the youth community of Telford & Wrekin
Whilst Telford & Wrekin offer up some of the most stunning landscapes in the county, like many areas in Shropshire the population experiences shocking inequalities in comparison to other regions across the UK.
16% of the regions population live in areas ranked in the 10% most deprived in England with the gap between rich and poor growing...
...With a startling 21.3% of children affected by income deprivation.
Children achieving a good level of development at 2-2.5 years is only 64.9% in comparison with the England average of 83.3% and young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) is at 6.7% once again higher than the average of 5%.
